Packera Plattensis, or more commonly know as Prairie Groundsel, is a forb/herb (a forb/herb is a non-woody plant that is not a grass) of the genus Packera. It’s duration is biennial or bi-annual which means it can grow or bloom twice, in the first year and the following year. Packera Plattensis or Prairie Groundsel‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
