Spiny Hopsage (Grayia Spinosa)
Grayia Spinosa, or more commonly know as Spiny Hopsage, is a subshrub shrub with white-gray foliage and red flowers of the genus Grayia. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 3 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is fall winter and spring, blooms during late spring, is intolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Grayia Spinosa or Spiny Hopsage‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
