Slender Buckwheat (Eriogonum Microthecum)

Eriogonum Microthecum, or more commonly know as Slender Buckwheat, is a subshrub shrub with green foliage and purple flowers of the genus Eriogonum. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 1.1 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid summer, is intolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Eriogonum Microthecum or Slender Buckwheat‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
