Shadscale Saltbush (Atriplex Confertifolia)
Atriplex Confertifolia, or more commonly know as Shadscale Saltbush, is a subshrub shrub with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Atriplex. It has a slow growth rate and a height of 3 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during early summer and is intolerant of shade. Atriplex Confertifolia or Shadscale Saltbush‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.
