Red Brome (Bromus Rubens)

Bromus Rubens, or more commonly know as Red Brome, is a graminoid with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Bromus. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 1.3 feet at maturity. Its duration is annual which means it grows for one season only. It’s active growth period is fall winter and spring, blooms during early spring and is intolerant of shade. Bromus Rubens or Red Brome‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Hawaii, specifically in the states of Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Massachusetts, Maryland, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington.
