Prairie Junegrass (Koeleria Macrantha)

Koeleria Macrantha, or more commonly know as Prairie Junegrass, is a graminoid with green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Koeleria. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 1.5 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring and fall, blooms during late spring and is tolerant of shade. Koeleria Macrantha or Prairie Junegrass‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, Alaska and Hawaii, specifically in the states of Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
