Carex Viridula, or more commonly know as Little Green Sedge, is a graminoid with green foliage and green flowers of the genus Carex. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 1.5 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during early summer and is intolerant of shade. Carex Viridula or Little Green Sedge‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Alaska, specifically in the states of Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
