Lesser Knapweed (Centaurea Nigra)

Centaurea Nigra, or more commonly know as Lesser Knapweed, is a forb/herb (a forb/herb is a non-woody plant that is not a grass) of the genus Centaurea. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. Centaurea Nigra or Lesser Knapweed‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of California, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, Washington and Wisconsin.
