Large Gallberry (Ilex Coriacea)
Ilex Coriacea, or more commonly know as Large Gallberry, is a tree shrub with dark green foliage and white flowers of the genus Ilex. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 12 feet at maturity. It’s duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during late spring and is tolerant of shade. Ilex Coriacea or Large Gallberry‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
