European Alder (Alnus Glutinosa)
Alnus Glutinosa, or more commonly know as European Alder, is a tree with green foliage of the genus Alnus. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 60 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid spring and is intolerant of shade. Alnus Glutinosa or European Alder‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont and Wisconsin.
