Common Bamboo (Bambusa Vulgaris)
Bambusa Vulgaris, or more commonly know as Common Bamboo, is a tree shrub subshrub with green foliage and brown flowers of the genus Bambusa. It has a rapid growth rate and a height of 50 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is year round, blooms during indeterminate and is intolerant of shade. Bambusa Vulgaris or Common Bamboo‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands, specifically in the states of Florida, Hawaii and South Carolina.
