Canadian Lousewort (Pedicularis Canadensis)

Pedicularis Canadensis, or more commonly know as Canadian Lousewort, is a subshrub forb/herb with gray-green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Pedicularis. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 1.3 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during late spring, is tolerant of shade and is routinely available commercially. Pedicularis Canadensis or Canadian Lousewort‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Vermont and Wisconsin.
