Betula Pumila, or more commonly know as Bog Birch, is a shrub with dark green foliage and yellow flowers of the genus Betula. It has a moderate growth rate and a height of 20 feet at maturity. Its duration is perennial which means it will grow year after year. It’s active growth period is spring and summer, blooms during mid spring and is intolerant of shade. Betula Pumila or Bog Birch‘s floral region is North America US Lower 48, specifically in the states of California, Connecticut, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Vermont, Washington and Wisconsin.
